Private View - Final Unveiling of 'Bricks & Pieces'

Excitingly, and after many weeks of stitching, the final piece entitled 'Bricks & Pieces' went on display yesterday evening alongside other works created by artists who responded to the space in unique ways. 

These works form the People and Place exhibition which sees the Observer Building re-opening its doors to the public for the first time, as part of Coastal Currents Arts Festival.  The exhibition is open 6, 7, 8 September.

​It was inspiring and uplifting to be part of the first steps of this building's glorious journey and I know that it will be a space that greatly enhances the community in Hastings.  I've learned so much; from how to rust metal quickly (hydrogen peroxide and vinegar if you're ever in the need!), to creating detailed thermofax screens.
